How it works

How it works –

(We are in the process creating a User Guide and FAQ.)

Registration is required. Once registered, users can start a new project.

Registered Users can upload their photos from any device or location. Multiple registered users can work on one project, allowing families and friends to submit their favorites.

One user will be designated the Designer: responsible for layout, approvals, and payments.

After uploading photos, the Designer will add the photos to the pages in the book. There are multiple options for page layouts. You may add written notes or captions, or compose a written tribute.

Once the layout is complete, the Designer submits the project for Proofing. Our graphics professionals will then use our custom built software to rapidly generate a digital proof for your final approval. Approvals require payment before entering print production.

Your photobook is then handcrafted at Nero Ink’s book and magazine factory in Chicago. We can deliver direct to funeral home partners in the Chicago area and ship via USPS/UPS.

The Addio Story.

After losing his grandmother, Matthew was going through a familiar ritual in the grieving process – combing through old family photographs in preparation for the funeral. He began to understand so much more about her life, and wanted to share the incredible photos documenting her life. He had just started a small print shop, and decided to make a photobook to tell a visual story.

Shortly thereafter, his mother passed away, and the mourning ritual began anew. Of course, another photobook was made. People began asking where they could get a photobook made for their loved ones. The short timeframe before services and very personal nature of the project made it a tall order, but Nero Ink’s print solutions got to work. Addio was created to give families their own photobook generator; combining professional-quality layouts with a trusted print provider in Chicago.
